Song of the day – Flick of The Finger
One of the most erotic album cover and beautifully shot. The cover was shot by Harry Peccinotti, known for his erotic work for shooting the famous Pirelli calendars in 1968 and 1969, the semi-naked woman in the cover is his wife.
I’m surprised how good this album sounds on vinyl, the spacey sounds With 70’s retro elements all through the album, the songs are pretty John Lennon’s. To be exact, It’s Lennon in the space with diamonds!
The delicate supercharged guitar riffs creates magnificent tension in the first track “Flick of The Finger”, like million warriors fighting a war of patrioticism. The song is actually about fighting for peace, a bit of a cliche, but it’s as good as it gets.
There are a lots of outer space psych ambient tracks with an acoustic layer and a melodic tune. ” Soul Love” , “Face the Crowd”, I’m Just Saying”, “Don’t Bother Me” , ” Ballroom Figured” and more.
There isn’t really any one song that is super outstanding in the album, though many of them are listenable and one of the best sounding vinyl for any music after the 90’s.
